Vision Statement
Over the next five years, the family of Hillsboro Baptist Church (HBC) will take our withered leaves, sagging branches, and shallow roots of the past and rejuvenate our church into a flourishing, strong, well-grounded congregation that yields eternal fruit to impact the Kingdom of God.
The members of our church family must maintain fellowship with Christ, and be vitally connected to Him as the one true Vine, gaining all sustenance and strength from Him. Like a tree planted and watered by a stream, HBC will be rejuvenated by His Spirit and through His Word, and equip our members through formal teaching, training and discipling. Rooted in the sufficiency of God’s Word, we will trust in the power of Christ in us to bear abundant fruit. Individually healthy trees abiding in the Vine will produce a vibrant forest, providing physical and spiritual resources to be used as outreach to the village of Leiper’s Fork.
In anticipation of this outreach and future growth, we will renovate and reconstruct our building and grounds to be a beautiful, inviting, accommodating gathering place.
Jesus will be glorified as we trust the Holy Spirit to water our vision, strengthen our roots, grow our branches and produce eternal fruit. We believe the village of Leiper’s Fork will be drawn to Jesus as we lift Him up as the source of life, love, hope, peace and protection, and want to join us in our journey.
